Dancing in the Arms of Eternity
Many times during worship on Sundays, I like to close my eyes and imagine being in the presence of our King. Those times are when something is bothering me or bringing me down.
It is hard to pray when we are overwhelmed by what we are going through. Knowing Jesus will never leave or forsake us definitely helps; however, this knowledge may sometimes be clouded. To overcome the distance I feel, I create in my mind the image of Jesus and me in a dance hall. We will be dancing to whatever melody the worship song is in.
Or every once in a while, out of total desperation and emotional fatigue, I will find myself with my head on His shoulders and feel His embrace, which is immensely soothing when a storm is tearing my heart apart. I can feel His presence. I even pretend to be smelling His aroma and touching His hair.
Next time you feel lost, visit the King of kings and spend some time with Him. Whether it is sitting at His feet and wetting them with your tears, or sitting on His lap like a little child in need of protection and comfort, I know He will not reject you. He will embrace you and give you what you need. He is our Comforter after all.
God bless you and your loved ones!
